The 12-month limited warranty does not cover normal wear items such as tyres, tyre tubes, cables, brake pads, paint & finish or any damage or failure caused by incorrect assembly, poor maintenance or improper storage. The limited warranty does not cover user-initiated damage to the trike in any way. Trikes must only be used in a manner that they were designed for, such as recreation and personal transportation. The limited warranty is immediately voided if the trike has been modified in any way. This would include the installation of any non-original equipment manufacturer part or component, alteration of the trike in any way or any alteration to the original DC Trike supplied components, or any modification and alteration that, in any way, alters the performance, operation or wear and tear of the trike. The limited warranty will void if the DC Trike is rented or modified.

Use of the product is to be strictly in accordance with standard personal transportation needs. The DC trike should be stored and used in a way that protects the trike from heat, flood, fire or catastrophic events;
  • Maintenance, unauthorised repairs or use of non-original equipment parts: Any damage to the trike which occurs from the use of non-original equipment parts, or any repairs performed by unauthorised or untrained personnel, modifications, or lack of adequate maintenance to the trike.

Warranty terms:

This 12-month warranty is limited to the replacement of defective parts at the sole discretion of DC Trike Pty Ltd. The warranty is limited to the original purchaser having made the purchase directly from dctrike.com. This warranty does not cover faults, flaws, defects or damage caused by user initiated damage, neglect, abuse, improper assembly, any modification or alterations, misuse, accidents, inclusion of any non-original equipment manufacturer parts, addition of any component not intended for the product, general wear and tear, rider error, use in competitive, extreme or stunt riding, failure to follow direction, rules, laws and regulations of any jurisdiction where the trike is being ridden, lack of maintenance, or acts of God. Consumable and normal wear parts are not covered by warranty, beyond defect (consumable parts defined such as: tyres, tyre tubes, brake pads, handlebar grips, cables, paint & finish). DC Trike Pty Ltd is not liable for use of unauthorised parts or service that result in loss, damage, or failure. Purchaser may be asked to install replacement components, provide evidence (photographic or video) of defective components, or be asked to return components to fulfil any warranty claim. Under no circumstances will DC Trike Pty Ltd, its employees, agents, servants and Directors, be held responsible for direct, indirect, or consequential damages, including without limitation, negligence, economic loss, property damage, personal injury, or product liability in connection to DC Trike products whether based on warranty or contract.

Warranty cover:

The 12-month limited warranty, as detailed above, covers sales directly from dctrike.com. Warranty cover is exclusive to the original purchaser and for Australian residents only.

Original equipment manufacturer parts are available from dctrike.com or from sales@dctrike.com

Initiating a claim:

First up, you should contact as via email at sales@dctrike.com and confirm your original order number and notify us of the issue. Hopefully we can resolve the matter quickly for you – maybe even over the phone.

If not, you will be required to complete a Warranty Claim Form and provide evidence of the affected part or parts. This evidence will include a combination of photographs or video. This will allow us to clearly identify the issue and understand if the claim relates to a part defect or assembly/manufacture fault. Obviously, we can only replace components under warranty if a claim can be validated, so the more detailed information and images that you can provide to support your claim, the quicker we can get you back on your trike.

Warranty process:

DC Trike Pty Ltd will replace or repair a part or component, in accordance with the 12-month limited warranty terms, in the event that such part or component is found to be defective outside of user-initiated damage. It is likely that we will request that the part or component being claimed is returned to us for determination of fault or repair. The purchaser is responsible for freight costs associated with the return of the part or component, until a satisfaction of defect is complete.

Delivery claims:

Should a component be damaged during shipping or delivery to you, we will replace such component. To facilitate this, you must report any damage via email to sales@dctrike.com within 48 hours of receiving your trike. You will be asked to complete a Shipping Claims Form and provide photos and/or video evidence of such damage.

You should note any damage whilst the shipping agent/delivery driver is present, noting any damage to the trike box, packing material or items inside the box. You should request the shipping agent/delivery driver make note of any damage on the delivery documents and provide confirmation before they depart.

In the event that you have arranged your own pick up from our factory or through a third-party delivery service, you are personally responsible for any damages that may occur after collection.

Be safe, be smart and be responsible:

Your new DC Trike is a fun, personal transportation device. As such, it needs to be ridden with great care and safety. Like riding a bike, you need to pay attention and be constantly aware of the surroundings including the presence of children, pedestrians, animals and other riders and vehicles. You should slow down and take great care in congested areas. You must obey all traffic laws and local regulations and it is your absolute responsibility to be aware of such laws and regulations before you ride the trike in any jurisdiction. At all times you must wear an approved bicycle helmet. The DC Trike is a personal transportation device and is designed for one rider only. All riders should become completely familiar with the trike and its use before riding. The manufacturer of DC Trike, DC Trike Pty Ltd, its agents, employees, servants and Directors are not liable for incidental or consequential loss or damage due to direct or indirect use of the product.

Warranty period:
